Guilin Must Go Places

Rong Hu Lake (榕湖)

It is quite a scenic park with different theme of the bridges where each of them has its own name such as "Twin Bridges" and “Zigzag Bridge”. The park has a beautiful views of the lake and the bridges which is one of the must visit place in Guilin.

Elephant Trunk Hill (象鼻山)

Next beautiful place is the sightseeing along the Li River (or in Chinese is called Lijiang, 

漓江) at Guilin. Li River is the famous river sight highlight in China. One of the famous hill is the "Elephant Trunk Hill". I didn't manage to take a good picture of the hill using my SLR, yet along the river, there are a few other scenic hills.  

The people who lives there mostly work as fisherman and they usually fish with the help of the fish hawk. The fishermen use a straw to slightly tie the neck of the fish hawk so that when they catch the fish, they won't swallow of eat it.  

Shiwai Taoyuan (世外桃源)

Shiwai Taoyuan literary means "Paradise" in English. I wouldn't say it's like a paradise, but it has a beautiful sight of the hills. Beside, during the sunset, the river reflects the view of the hills and created an amazing view which is so beautiful. 

This beautiful bridge is call Fengyu Bridge 风雨桥. It literary means "Wind-rain Bridge" and there is a myth that whoever hold hands and walk through the bridge without looking or turning back, they will be together forever no matter sweet or bitter. After crossing the bridge, the people there will serve their rice wine. You will see them dancing and singing their native songs. I really felt warmth and delighted of the way they greeted the tourists.

Gold and Silver Twin Tower (日月塔)

These towers are also called "Riyue Shuangta" which is at Riyue Shuangta Cultural Park in the Google map. To take a good picture of these towers, it must be in the evening or at night.
